PURIFICATION THROUGH SOUND

Imagine if you will, that your body is a flowing network of rivers, but all of these waterways come from one bountiful source-Prana, or the energy of life. If one riverbed is cluttered with debris, the water will remain blocked, creating uneven flow through the network. Some waterways will become disorderly and disturbed, others insignificant drops, and some even barren.

The practice of sound therapy manually removes all obstructions from the blocked pathways. Clearing the water of rubble and debris. Once this happens, the water begins to flow freely. Purging takes place. An abundant flow now emerges smoothly, unimpeded through the body.

For our bodies to contain this potent energy of life we must facilitate cleansing and purification. The less 'rubbish' we have polluting us the more this life force can circulate. Pure, pleasant sounds emitted from the Tibetan Singing Bowls, work with the body to cleanse and open blockages via the phenomenon of sympathetic resonance where the passive vibratory body responds and vibrates to external vibrations (such as the bowls) with which it has harmonic likeness. The Singing Bowl's frequency impacts the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) engaging the relaxation reflex, slowing down the respiratory, brain and heart rate to create a better sense of well being.

For years Indians and Tibetans have believed in sound medicine impacting our ability to heal. Western science is now beginning to recognize the effectiveness of vibrational frequencies to help reduce stress, alter brainwaves and create a deep sense of peace, well being and increased health. For example, Dr. Mitchell Gaynor with Gaynor Integrative Oncology utilizes sound as a vital modality for healing cancer patients and assisting in the healing process while undergoing chemotherapy for pain management.

The root of disease is disorder and disturbance of energy. Our cells, muscles and organs store blocked energy which only sound vibration can directly access. Jennifer Nesbit, RYT, Sound Therapist uses the Tibetan Singing Bowls, tingshaws and guided relaxation to tap into cellular memory in order to 'tune up' the body, release stuck energy, shift disease patterns and bring the physical, emotional and spiritual energies back into happy alignment, creating the perfect vessel for healing.
